For someone who has never tried practicing mindful eating, the beginning might seem intimidating, but it's actually a natural and rewarding process. Here are a few simple tips to take the first steps towards more conscious eating: • Choose one meal or snack per day where you allow yourself to be completely present. Put aside your phone, turn off the TV, and focus only on the food in front of you. • Savor each bite. • Try to eat more slowly than usual. Pay attention to the taste, texture, and smell of the food. • Chew slowly and enjoy each bite. Here are some of the foods I recommend for a strong antioxidant intake: • Berries: Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries are real "antioxidant bombs."
